I had heard of youth in mission from a few members of my church who had the opportunity to serve through it when they were in college. I have always had a heart for mission and helping others, I’ve traveled with my church for many short term mission trips and had the opportunity to do some traveling through the 30 hour famine study tour. I had many people in my district who heard youth in mission was relaunching and thought it would be a great opportunity for me. At first I was a little hesitent to agree and ignored the first few emails about it. However after awhile it kept coming to my attention and popping up during my prayer time.
I decided to get ahold of Kenny and see what it was all about, after that and much prayer I decided to apply! I am excited to see what this summer has in store and am thankful for all those emails and texts encouraging me to take that step! I know the Lord is working in me to prepare me for this summer and the work with a city that has been on my heart since I first decided to apply!
